Copyright or license is granted only once payment has been received in full. All invoices are payable within 14 days of being issued. When the work extends beyond one month, interim invoices will be issued at the end of each month relating to work done in that month, or on completion of relevant phases of the project.

Acceptance of our proposal agrees to any interim.  A 5% admin charge is payable on all overdue balances for reissuing each invoice at 30/45/60/70 and 90 days from the original invoice.

Default in payment

In the event of a default in payment, the client shall assume all responsibility for costs and outlays by Liska Design Studio in the collection of unpaid fees and legal costs incurred by default in payment.


The fees and expenses shown are minimum estimates of a flat fee unless an hourly rate has been agreed upon. Estimates for design and artwork are strictly subject to the sight of the final copy and any other content material and final instructions from the client.

Estimates are fixed for two months from the date of issue. Beyond that time period we reserve the right to amend them.

Client responsibility:

All the content that Liska Design Studio is required to use must be provided to Liska Design Studio at the beginning and any ideas or concepts you may wish to be considered during the design process must be communicated at the beginning.  Any changes to the brief may result in an increase in the estimated time on a job, a change to the deadline, and additional expenses will be incurred at the current hourly rate.

Should any feedback be required the authorised, primary contact should respond via email within the day to endeavour to keep the job on schedule. 

Liska Design Studio is trusted to work in a professional and timely manner once the agreement has been signed and the initial payment made.


The client must assume that all changes to content, additions or alterations of content, layout or changes to the process requested by the client will alter the time and the cost. Any requests must be made in writing or by email so that we may keep track
of changes. 

Copyright use of provided elements:

All the elements that the client provides us with i.e. artwork, logos, photography, trademarks, etc. are either owned by the client or the client must have permission to use them. Copyright to the work or any part of it, where held by Liska Design Studio is licensed for use in the works identified in the design agreement only unless otherwise stated. Other material remains the copyright of the copyright owner unless explicitly transferred. If the client wishes to obtain the copyright outright or wishes to use the material (e.g. text, a photograph, or graphic image) for other purposes, then the client must seek the consent of Liska Design Studio or the copyright holder to do so. 

Text and photographs provided:

Please provide Liska Design Studio with all the copy/text to be used in the project with the correct spelling, including addresses, phone numbers, social media and website addresses, etc. Please provide the written content in a Word document if possible. Any logos or photography should be in a 300dpi, high-resolution format. 


The client shall reimburse the designer (Lisa Skadins) for all expenses arising from the project including, but not limited to stock photography, artwork, or any materials needed for the project.  Any expenses incurred will be itemised on the final bill.

Errors and omissions

It is the client’s responsibility to check the proofs very carefully for accuracy in all things ranging from spelling to technical illustrations. The designer (Liska Design Studio) is not liable for any errors or omissions, and the client will pay for any expenses incurred.

A quick turnaround request

Unless otherwise specified, all quotations submitted are based on reasonable time schedules. In cases where the work is requested
on a ‘rush’ or ‘overtime’ basis, any additional costs incurred due to such circumstances will be reflected in our final invoice.

Rights granted

Liska Design Studio retains all rights, including copyrights in and to the preliminary sketches and alternative designs not chosen by the client. Liska Design Studio retains the rights to display all work created by them for this project including preliminary designs and final deliverables in the designer’s (Liska Design Studio’s) portfolio, including print and online presence, and to submit such design work to design periodicals and competitions. We reserve the right to claim authorship of all designs for which we have been responsible and to reproduce any works reasonably for our marketing purposes.

Liska Design Studio shall have the right to photograph all completed designs or installations and shall have the right to use such photographs for publication, exhibition, or other promotional purposes.
A minimum of three samples of the printed design is requested to use in design portfolios, exhibition,s or promotions when possible.


In the event of cancellation of this project then ownership of all copyrights and original artwork shall be retained by Liska Design Studio, a cancellation fee for the work already completed and the expenses already incurred shall be paid by the client over and above the initial non refundable deposit that was paid as an initial payment when signing this agreement.
The balance of monies due within 14 days.  

Please note that any cancellation must be formally confirmed in writing. If no confirmation is received within seven days of instruction to cancel the client will be liable to pay 100% of the estimated cost.


A non-refundable payment of 50% of the estimate is required before the work can begin unless otherwise agreed. 

This initial payment is due within five days of accepting this agreement. The designer (Lisa Skadins) is trusted to work in a
professional and timely manner once the agreement has been accepted and initial payment made.

Please ensure that you have read the terms and conditions. Once the initial payment has been made we will take that as
acceptance of the said Terms and Conditions.


‘The Client’ is the person or company for whom, or on whose behalf, the work is carried out.
‘The Work’ is the work supplied or carried out by Liska Design Studio according to any contract made under these conditions.
